No matter what we're going through, there are still lots of things we should be grateful for

Sigh.  I know a lot of people would disagree with me.  Those people who have not seen the silver lining of the darkest clouds...those who have not yet experienced extreme joy or those who are being mistreated/maltreated EVERY waking day...but there are also those people who suffer the same plight, but have the cheeriest disposition...they have hope.

I guess it's really how you look at things, but we cannot tell people(guilty) to cheer up when they don't feel like cheering up.

Here's another example:

"Okay ka lang?"

"Nakita mo nang hindi, tapos tatanungin mo pa ako!"

I heard that while walking inside one of the malls.

Someone lost his balance, tripped, and was wounded. The person who helped him asked if he was okay, but the guy who had an accident really got pissed instead of being grateful. I really couldn't blame either of them.  It's "automatic" to ask if someone's okay when you witness an accident, but if you already see the person bleeding and all...

My dad saw me crying so he told me, "I am more than eighty years old, and I had my glory days.  Although we had six years of being down, we rose up again, sa tulong ng iba at sa sariling sikap.  We have a lot to thank God for. No matter what happens, let's enjoy life while we're breathing."

My dad's abdominal aortic aneurysm increased, but there's another test he will undergo soon, and we're hoping and praying that the size would decrease, but if it doesn't, then we have decisions to make.

Proverbs 3:5-6 New International Version (NIV)

   5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;
 6 in all your ways submit to Him,
    and He will make your paths straight.

Thanks a lot for taking time to read this.
